Hello, I am Manuela Diaz, marketing student and currently interpreter. I am from Colombia, moved to the us when I was 15, I lived in Texas 10 years, graduated high school in Houston then moved to Austin. I’ve worked in multiple jobs but for the last 5 years I’ve been nanny, 3/2 consecutivas years as a nanny and 1/2 on and off. I started as a nanny in Austin. Mostly part time and so I had multiple families at the same time. 2 of those families were 6 month old babies. I was also working for an agency mostly as an on call nanny for church day cares. Then I met a family during Covid. 2 boys that I watched for the summer, helped with summer school, and summer activities for them to be active and productive while everything was close. Then I transition to part time to help with Read more after school homework. Then I was again working for multiple jobs until I found a family with a 3 month old baby, and I worked with them for 2 and a half years. I helped basically with everything for tummy time to her first steps. Took her to the park every day. Feed her, spoke Spanish to her all the time, nap times, to her to music classes, gymnastics and other fun places. I’m actually friends with them still, they became like part of my family. So I still see her and watching her grow is the most beautiful thing. Then after that she started day care and I watched a 6 month old baby for like a month before I moved to Maui. In Maui I did a work exchange program where I was working at the hostal I was living in. I watched the manager’s kid. And it was really fun, breakfast then beach the rest of the day then nap time. After that I stayed in Maui and worked for a family helping with house shores and home schooling with 3 girls in different grades and one baby. All in Spanish. Then I worked with a family of two boys. Also very fun. Just feeding them and beach all day. Then naps. Then they started day care so I worked in Macy’s for a month but because of the fires we moved to Arizona. And I worked as a bridal stylist and the nanny share for the most beautiful babies ever. Both around 1 when I stared. The most challenging job I had, but two amazing babies that I helped and watch grow. Helped with synching their naps, feed them lunch and two snacks a day. Fed them bottles. Entertained them all day. Took them to the park, the library. And other fun places. I helped with the baby girls cloth diaper. Then I was there for 5 months and decided to finish with them because of schedule purposes
