I am currently enrolled college studying for my Business degree. I was introduced to nannying by my aunt who has been a nanny for a family in Brookhaven for the past 10 years. When she has to go on vacation or take sick days, I cover for her and help out with anything the need. I’m also the go to babysitter for all the kids in my family. I know how important it is for kids to have a caring figure in their life. Parents care and love their children so much, but they also have to take time out of the day for work or personal matters. The kids ranged ages from 1-5 and we were always actively playing outside, swimming, doing arts and crafts, or having creative movie nights in forts. The second family I became a nanny for had a 10 month old and I cared for him until he was a year and a half. This time it was more than just playtime and fun. It was making sure he grew to his fullest potential at every month. I helped with feeding, napping, changing diapers, going on walks, learning how to talk, walk, crawl, stand, count, socialize. Due to school scheduling I had to stop nannying for a year and gain experience at an office setting. But now that I am closer to finishing, I can go back to doing something I enjoy while I meet all the other goals in my life. I am up to date with my COVID vaccinations.
