Meet Sarah

I just earned my bachelor’s in nursing from Mercer University. I planned to work as a nurse in the emergency department at Piedmont Hospital starting in July. Working with children gave me a passion for helping people and is one of the reasons I choose to become a nurse. I have many experiences working with children in high school and college. In high school, I worked with children by volunteering in the kids' ministries at my hometown church, I tutored elementary school kids before school, I was also a Leader in Training at a camp for children with Crohn's and Colitis. In college, I continued to work with children by being a mentor/tutor for a middle schooler and volunteering in the nursery at Grace Midtown Church. Because I was a nursing student, I also had many opportunities to work with children in the hospital and take classes on the growth Read more and development of children from infancy to teenage years. I have had a rotation on a labor and delivery unit, postpartum unit, and neonatal intensive care unit. I learned many things from this opportunity, such as, how to take care of an infant in an emergency, different diseases in infants, and infant care. I also have a certification in BLS/CPR and I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19. I also grew up with pets so I am good with dogs, cats, or any animal that you have. I want to be a sitter on SitterCity because I think this is an important mission. This website helps provide many families with finding childcare easily and I would like to be a part of providing a wonderful experience for parents/churches and their children. I have enjoyed every moment of taking care of children and knowing that I can make a difference in their lives and would like the opportunity to continue to make a difference in children's lives.
