I shared my job posting with Ta'Nyah and she messaged me back that she was interested. We then spoke over the phone for approximately 5 minutes and discussed the job details ( nanny for my 8 month old, changing diapers, reading, daily walks and making bottles) and pay which I asked her what she would like to be paid and I agreed to pay her what she requested without hesitation or extra negotiation. We proceeded to make a date for an interview which was 1 day away on Sunday at 10am, and she agreed that this time would work for her. I told her I would confirm shortly and I text her 30 minutes later and I got no response. I proceeded to call and text the next evening to confirm with out a response and I called today without a response from Ta'Nyah. If she did not want the job or could not interview on that date she could have reached me on the sittercity web site, called or text but she failed to communicate. I know that things happen, but in 2022 there are too many ways to communicate with each other. My family and I were inconvenienced by Ta'Nyah and her lack of professionalism. I do not like leaving bad reviews but if this will help someone seeking serious candidates for such an important job, then I feel obligated to share my experience to save others in my position time and energy.
