I have 4 children (29,27,22 all grown and out of the house with their own lives and children and a 6 yr old) and 3 grandchildren (11, 9 & 4). I have 1 dog (Pugapinch- Pug/MiniPincher). I Speak both English and Spanish fluently. Worked in daycare settings and headstarts for over 12 yrs with children ages 6 wks-5yrs. Worked in the High School where I lived in Schenectady NY for 7 yrs. I've also worked with children and young adults 6wks-18yrs. with special need. I feel children learn well with song and praise, stickers and dance. I've potty trained over 100 children with my potty songs. I enjoy listening to children when they speak. Although they're young they have a lot to say, and kids say the darndest things. I enjoy the outdoors and sports. Encourage children to get involved in school activities/sports. No TV until homework is done. Preferably an activity Read more over TV anytime. I encourage at least 15 min of reading. I will care for children newborn to 14. If there are older children in the house that need supervision (because 15 yr. olds and up say they don't need a "babysitter") or help with homework I can do that as well. I have allergies to cats but I'm tollerable of them. No birds unless they are caged. I am my 6yr daughters sole provider which is why I care for children in my home. If you don't mind me bringing her along occasionally to care for your child/children in Your home that would be awesome. She enjoys interacting with other children, since she doesn't get much of that at home(other than school) seeing it's just her and I.
