I enjoy interacting with children because I know the importance of a good foundation as I have my own 6 year old daughter who is reading. I have worked with children from 6 weeks to 13 years old. I am a former Kindercare and Primrose employee and enjoyed every minute. I started off as a two year old lead teacher then moved to working with infants, later school aged children and finally 3-4 years old. In the two year old room I had 19-20 children daily with the help from an assistant teacher of course, however I was responsible for group time, hand washing exercises, diaper changes, potty training exercises, arts and crafts, serving breakfast and lunch, nap time, etc. Generally I adhered to our class schedule. My experience with infants was slightly different as the ratio was 8 to 1. I helped them to develop gross motor skills, read Read more to them, sang songs, played games they could relate to, diaper changes, maintained a clean environment, and ensured bottle feeding and naps were consistent. With school aged children I taught some how to write their name, trace, interacted with them through board games, trivia, music and movement, arts and crafts, and even received valuable feedback from some as we know that no child's day is the same. 3-4 year old children were surprisingly similar to the two year old's I taught with a greater attention span, a more advanced sense of memory, and an even greater amount of sass as they developed more word usage. I possess a great deal of patience and am always a team player. I also enjoy cooking. Children enjoy being entertained and I enjoy them entertaining me as each day presents new experiences.
