I am a creative minded person who loves to learn and educate! I have been in childcare for 15 years beginning with babysitting, then I was a camp counselor at a Science Camp at the United States Geological Survey for 4 years and then ran the camps at an administrative level for 2 years. I studied Communication (journalism, video editing and graphic design) and had a fun career with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Washington Redskins, and NFL Films sprinkled in with Substitute teaching. I realized education is my true passion so I then started getting my Masters in Education. I taught Graphic Design for one year at West Hall High School and I will finish my Masters by the end of this year. I am taking the year off from teaching to finish my Masters and would love the opportunity to help a family with online schooling Read more or as a Nanny! I love being a sitter and teacher because having a chance to work with children and teens is an opportunity for such growth for me and them! I have been CPR and First Aid Certified annually during the 15 years I have been in childcare, but I do not currently have an active American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Card since I spent the past year in the school system and it was not a requirement, but I still have the knowledge! I have my own car and driver's license with a clean driving record and fun fact: I just got my top secret clearance last summer for a job, which is the ultimate background check! :) I would love to find a family that is looking for a sitter to assist with school work, do some arts and crafts, play games and sports, and enjoy life!
