Hey there! My name is Catherine. I went to undergrad back in Texas and majored in sports medicine and now I am currently in graduate school for occupational therapy here in Tallahassee. I have a weekly class schedule but on the other days, I am very flexible in terms of scheduling. I love the healthcare field and find it very rewarding. In terms of taking care of children, I have experience working at a church during my freshman year of college for an event called parents night out. We would do crafts, watch movies, and make snacks and it lasted about 4-5 hours. It was a time for the parents to enjoy a little time for themselves. I also have experience being a day camp counselor at the YMCA in addition to being a gymnastics coach and assisting with the day camps that took place there. I worked with many Read more different kids of different age groups including children with intellectual disabilities. These jobs included me coming up with curriculum, creating activities, cleaning, promoting exercise and body movement, as well as and just being there for the children. I loved these jobs and the role that I played in their lives. I am also CPR/AED and first aid certified.
