Hi, my name is Sarah. I've been a nanny to one family for 5 years now, taking care of their brilliant 5-year-old and her rambunctious 1-year-old sister. Before that I worked fulltime at a daycare in Texas for 3 years, where I was the only teacher for a group of 15 potty-training 2 and 3-year-olds. Needless to say, I know how to handle chaos! I am also more than willing to help with potty training. In addition, I have experience teaching curriculum and I love to work learning in throughout the day- especially during playtime, when children are most receptive to learning, in my experience. My initial plan after high school was actually to go into the medical field, so I went through school to get a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. After working for a while as a CNA at a nursing home, I realized that wasn't the path Read more for me. But because of that, I know First Aid, CPR and have some basic medical knowledge. The family I've been nannying for no longer needs as much help now that their 5-year-old is in school, so I am currently working with them part-time in the afternoons. I am looking for another family that needs part-time help in the mornings and/or occasional date nights. I love working with kiddos of all ages, but I would definitely say that 0-2 year-olds are my favorite. I also love taking kids out and about- I would go to the library or park everyday if I could! If that's not something you'd be comfortable with, I'd be more than happy to stick to neighborhood walks instead. I am willing to help with the kid's laundry, doing light housekeeping, meal prep and running errands. I love animals too, so I'm more than willing to work around cats and dogs.
