I have babysat plenty of children and am quite experienced due to being part of a family of five kids. I have thirty five cousins and a lot of little ones I still help my aunts out with immensely! Pickup from school, take home and hangout... make sure homeworks done and showers done. My Main job is a home health aid....The elderly gentleman I worked for almost three years sadly, recently passed away. I worked for him private duty at his home. I did 3:00pm-10:00pm shifts in the beginning but then started doing overnights with him over a year ago. I had helped with errands, meal preps, laundry, assisting in bathing and getting dressed, reminder of medications, making sure his home was clean. My experience extends further, in which before working with the elderly gentlemen, I worked at a facility for a few months prior to taking on private duty Read more work. It was a choice, facilities aren't really for me, I'm too compassionate and caring and it was quite saddening seeing individuals being treated the way they were. Before the facility I had taken care of my grandmother throughout high school, who had dementia and was a type one diabetic. Recently I just helped a younger gal who's in college who's a Florida Gator swimmer, recover from a very traumatic accident. I've been in this field for a while now. Growing up with a father who's a Doctor, I've known so much about the medical field since such a young age. Taking care of others and helping them feel better is what makes me genuinely so happy. I've taken two nurse assistant classes to keep up on whats new in the health world. Looking to become a caregiver/ Home Health Aid while getting through college. I'm in to get my AA and then off to a university. I aspire to be a psychiatric nurse but don't let that concern you scheduling wise, I'm extremely flexible right now especially. I have taken multiple level two background checks due to signing up for classes in the past at SCTI so you should be able to check my background with no problem, you will find that there's nothing there. It's understanding that most people care about who's taking care of their loved one and that's absolutely more than understandable.
