I am a kind, caring and patient individual that recently moved to Florida after working for the past 6 years at the River Street Autism program at Birken in Bloomfield Connecticut where I received applied behavior analysis (ABA) training. Birken is a school-based behavior intervention program where I gained experience in discrete trail, incidental teachings, working on ADL skills with students, teaching speech through AAC devices and PECS, as well as some sign language. I enjoyed taking the students on community generalization outings to places such as grocery stores, restaurants, bowling, apple picking etc. Working with my students every day on their life skills and academics brought joy to my heart. I have been babysitting children of all ages since I was 12 years old. I have many friends with children that I enjoy caring for and playing with as often as possible.
