Hi Moms and Dads, I too am a mom of two amazing and independent kids, ages 14 and 15. My husband and I are self employed and work from home. I own a successful wedding planning and event management company. When I'm not running events, I have a lot of down time. Now that the kids are grown and Dad is always at home I like to spend my free time caring for children and helping parents. I'll start by saying that have a reliable vehicle, a clean license and I'll pass any background or substance test with flying colors. I am also pet friendly and have two yorkies myself. I'm mild tempered and college educated. I believe in using positive language, inside voices and gentle encouragement. I do not raise my voice, I don't get frazzled and I just generally have a sunny disposition. I'm used to working with Read more Brides. I like to see the positive in things, look for the good in people and find beauty in the small things. I'm a fun 40 something so I'm not too old to keep up but not so young that I don't know better. Particular talents I have... my kids would say I'm a great cook (and I kind of have to agree) :). I'm comfortable in a kitchen. We love our veggies but we are bakers at heart. I am handy around the house. I'm remodeling my own and if you have common sense tasks I am absolutely capable of running a home and handling a household emergency. Additionally, I happen to like household chores and I believe kids do too- helping to weed a garden, paint a fence or do some laundry really helps the kids learn fun in the everyday. Same with homework- we learn fractions by baking. We learn reading with music. We like "kid fun" too- bike riding, swimming, taking walks and playing ball. I believe in aligning with family values and schedules is an absolute must and I will always support that. I'm team mom and dad all the way, you need cared for too and making sure your kids are in good reliable hands is part of that care. I'd love to take care of your family.
