Hello! My name is Imani Thompson and I am currently a psychology student. As a psychologist and having my CNA , I hope to work with people of all ages but mostly children for I have always had a passion to care for children and babies. Ever since I was little I would care for the babies in my family. As I got older, I began to take on paid babysitting jobs from friends and families. Additionally, for the past 2 years I have been working with a CAMBA where I take care of children in kindergarten to 4th grade. While also taking care of my godson in the mornings to afternoons from birth to two years of age. My experience caring for children ranges from newborns to teenagers I have worked with many families in a variety of circumstances, taking care of babies' every need, such as feeding, diapering, Read more bathing, umbilical cord care and if applicable, circumcision care. When the baby is ready, I help with sleep training by teaching the baby self soothing techniques and getting them used to a napping and bedtime routine. I maintain a thorough log of baby's feeding, diaper changes and sleep patterns, and am happy to answer parents' questions. I also provide postpartum support to new moms. Some fun facts about me is I love to bake, dance, travel to different countries and try different sports. As your babysitter, your child's safety is my number one priority while also making sure they have a great time! I am very excited to be caring for your family.
