I am a college student in Panama City to get my associates in Art, recently moved to Florida. I only have two true passions one is creating and appreciating Art the other one is working with kids. I have 6 years working with kids and 3 years of child care. During that time I’ve achieved my Texas State Board for Educator Certification, PCS Procedures/Process Training (Sped Paraprofessionals only) certification, Successful Completion of PBIS certificate. I have worked with kids in face painting and learning their behaviors and their patience . I have also worked as an over night summer camp counselor in Chicago, where I was assigned 6 little girls from the ages of 6-10 and watch over them while participating in camp activities. I would watch over them from Sunday-Friday 24 hours . This 10 week experience has taught me how to always be attentive even while having fun Read more with the kids. This job has also helped me create many fun games, activities with and with out materials that kids love to do. My recent job is an ABC paraprofessional at an elementary school. This entails me working with a child that has behavioral problems that has proven they can’t be in a class room with other students, due to behaviors such as them throwing this, hitting people etc. I have learned how to calm a student from these moments and help guide them into putting that energy into something else that isn’t hurting people but benefiting them instead, while also doing the work that the teacher assigned with them making sure they understand it and complete it all. From my 3 years of child care I have had many unexpected unique experiences that have only helped me grow in my knowledge to best help, understand and provide for children. I truly love working with kids and understand how important this age is to a person and how much any moment can leave an impact on them in the future . I want to be a reason why they have a good moment they look back on and remember.
