At 27, I have about 16 years of experience with children. Beginning with helping my mom in our Church’s youth program (toddlers-elementary age kids), my level of experience skyrocketed when my nephew was born in 2010. I was a primary caretaker of him until I graduated high school, due to complicated family circumstances. I also regularly babysat my two nieces that came a few years after him. During and after college, I continued to babysit for various families around the St. Augustine area and loved every second of it. During this time, I also nannied for a 6yr old during a short period (they knew I would be moving states soon so I was not a permanent solution for this lovely family), and also for a 5 month old. I worked with the latter family for a few months, though this ended due to my move across the country. While Read more in Albuquerque from 2019-2023, I nannied again for various families. For one family, I nannied once a week for their 3yr old and 1.5yr old for a couple years. Another family I nannied for had a newborn daughter that I helped with 3xs a week for also a couple years. The last family I nannied for had a 4 month old and was again an every other day situation, and this lasted for a few months until I had to quit to pursue a full time in-office job. All of these were accompanied by a few families I regularly did date nights for. I am now back in Florida and looking for occasional childcare work again, be it the random date night, a much-needed day off for Mom, or another once a week arrangement. I have a great deal of experience with children of all ages, along with juggling multiple kiddos at a time. I am an experienced poopy-diaper changer, a potty trainer, a snack maker, and a fun time aficionado. I do not rely on TVs or screens as a substitute for my attention, and I love playing games with kids, be it real games or imaginary ones that forever have changing rules to favor the child haha. I love arts and crafts, making up dances, anything that involves getting creative! I also have experience tutoring, and can assist with homework and studying for tests, if the child is of that age. I was CPR certified in 2019, though I do believe it has expired by now. I would be willing to retake a class.
