Lexie M.

We hired Lexie to watch our kids and my brother's kids for up to three days. When Lexie arrived, I asked her if she had been vaccinated for the Covid vaccine (which I had forgotten to do when interviewing for this job). She had not, so I asked her to wear a mask inside, which she did (however, she did not have a mask with her, so I had to provide one). Lexie was fine with the kids. She played well with them in the pool and during some downtime. She was upbeat and friendly. The biggest disappointment was when I received a text from Lexie the next morning saying that she was up all night with a stomach bug and wouldn't be able to make it in that day. I asked her if that meant she was canceling on the two remaining days and did not receive a reply. I think Lexie would be fine if she were more reliable, but that is a reason not to hire her again in my opinion.

I usually don’t have sitters other than family but that has changed since we met Lexie. I totally felt comfortable with her. My granddaughter keeps asking when is Lexie coming back. I think it says a lot when kids ask if a sitter is coming back.
