Hi! My name is Rebecca, and I am an experienced caregiver with a diverse background in working with children of all abilities. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Special Education with a minor in American Sign Language, as well as professional teaching certificates in Florida and New Jersey in Elementary Education, Special Education, English as a Second Language, and for children ages Birth-4. I am also CPR and First Aid certified. With 4 years of experience as a classroom teacher for children ages 3-5 with autism and developmental delays, I have developed strong skills in providing individualized support and fostering a positive, nurturing environment. In addition to my teaching experience, I have spent 5 years as a tutor and 1 year as a respite care provider for teens with special needs. I have been providing childcare since I was 13, gaining experience that has helped me become proficient in caring Read more for children of all ages. As an aunt to five nieces and nephews under 3, I am also regularly caring for young children, which helps me stay grounded in the everyday needs and joys of family life. Currently, I am taking a break from full-time teaching to explore travel opportunities and am available for various childcare services including regular nannying, babysitting, tutoring, homeschool help, special needs care, pet sitting, dog sitting, house sitting, and sick care. I also offer vacation babysitting for trips to Orlando or Cocoa Beach, as well as date-night sitting. If you're in need of overnight care, please reach out, and I will do my best to accommodate your needs. I am based in the Merritt Island area but am happy to travel up to 50 miles for your convenience. For distances beyond 20 miles, I do require a contribution for gas. My rate is $25–40 per hour, depending on the number of children and the specific task (babysitting, tutoring, overnight care, sick care, etc.). I look forward to hearing from you and providing reliable care for your family! Available for: Regular Nannying/Babysitting Tutoring/Homework Help Special Needs Care Sick Care Respite Care for Families Pet Sitting/Dog Sitting House Sitting Vacation Care (Orlando/Cocoa Beach) Feel free to contact me with any questions or to discuss your specific needs!
