Together with children we can learn; There are mysteries of the world to be discovered on every turn. Oh, the wonderful things we can find, if we keep an open mind! Swimming, running, dancing, even a crawl, I take pride to be skilled in it all. You may wonder, "What if my children run very fast?" Then, I will chase after them. Guess who will win, who will not be the last? What else can I do? I read stories and I bake pies; I gently quiet down all cries. I give hugs and I give kisses; I play ball that rarely misses. I chase spiders and I catch bugs; I sweep underneath the rugs. I brush teeth and I brush braces; I wash hands and wash faces; Read more I tie shoes and I tie hair with shiny laces. I can make boo-boos all better, I can make headaches go away; I can make a colored cast out of colored clay. Changing diapers is a breeze; If you smile, it is handled fast and with ease. We can read quietly and we can read loud; Reading makes little ones happy, confident and proud. I've been a nanny for many years; Seeing seldom any tears. We play, we skip, we dance; Boredom doesn't have a chance. The days go by so fast, but we want the fun to last. Every evening the house gets really quite, when all the happy sleepyheads are softly snoozing in their beds.
