Hi there! My name is Erika Gabriela, but most people call me Gabriela! In discovering and specifying what I wish to seek as a career, my heart and gut always bring me back to working with children. Our children hold curiosity and wonder of the world that I believe we must continually embrace, appreciate, and celebrate. It is important to create a foundation of trust, security, and care for children so they can excel to their maximum potential as they grow and experience more of the world. I have experience volunteering and working with children; I work alongside children to allow them to develop social communication skills, self regulating their own emotions, and bringing out the light that is already within them. I have learned the power of the “Conscious Discipline” practices with children which has truly been life changing for me, on a career and personal level. Additionally, I Read more am DCF certified, first aid/CPR certified, and I have experience taking care of children with special needs. On a personal level, I enjoy painting as I am an artist, being in nature, the ocean, cooking healthy meals, being with my cats and my partner. I would also like to mention I have recently found out that I am expecting my first baby!! Any further experience I get working with children will allow me to obtain key principles and techniques to gentle parenting.
