Hi! I'm Brooke, a 29 year old student in the Orlando area. I am currently in school to become a Surgical Technologist at Concorde College. I still have two years to go but being a student in the medical field can make it challenging to maintain traditional employment. So I figured I would go back to my roots! I have worked in childcare for the past 10 years in a multitude of settings before I decided to change my career path to a more medically-minded one. I started off as a home nanny and babysitter for many families in my hometown of Buffalo, NY. From there, I spent two years as a teacher assistant in a daycare/preschool, three years working with adults and children with mental health diagnoses and developmental disabilities , two years as a family support/child development home visitor - visiting babies and their families to provide them Read more with resources and information, and for the last two years, I have been working as a behavior technician in schools for children with autism. My job experience has given me the skills to work with babies, toddlers, older children, and adults with comfort and ease. I am also well-versed in topics relating to mental health, disabilities, autism, and what some refer to as “problem behaviors”. While I don’t claim to be an expert, my skills and experience are an asset that I am glad can benefit the many families and work and interact with! I have my own transportation, a clean driving record, am CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certified, and am a non-smoker. Being a student, my availability isn’t completely free, but I am willing to work with you and your family the best I can!
