Meet Alexandra

I am a Florida native and just recently was working as a Marine Biologist STEM educator in the Keys mostly aimed at coral reef restoration and preservation.  I graduated from Stetson University in 2019 and am currently getting ready to attend Nova Southeastern University to get my masters in Marine Science.  I have worked with children for over 9 years from child care to camps to coaching swimming and teaching how to surf, kayak and snorkel.  I love being outside but especially love the ocean and the beach. I have worked with children with special needs. One of my favorite positions was as a volunteer coach for a Challenger swim team which included children with disabilities. I also have tutored children from elementary to high school age. I love being outside but especially love the ocean and the beach.  I grew up on a small farm so I also enjoy being Read more around and have experience with all sorts of animals.  From elementary school through college I was a dog handler for show dogs.  I have always had a lot of dogs in my life and thoroughly enjoy living vicariously through others' dogs right now since my living situation doesn’t allow me to have my own at this time.  I LOVE working with children whether it is just having fun at the park or showing all the wonders of the out of doors.  Also, I am AED/First Aid/CPR certified.
