I am a 23 year old college graduate. I have been working with children for the last 5 years. I started off working as a school-age teacher and after school tutor for my children. When I first began tutoring I felt that all children could be taught the same, but I soon realized that children have differently learning techniques. I like to take my time with children that I work with because it allows us to build trust and that makes it easier for them to gravitate towards newer learning. Taking my time with learning each child is very important because sometimes personality plays a part in the way that children want to be taught. I think that teaching should be fun and children should be able to express themselves while learning.
