Hi my name is Nicki! I am a 47 year old mother of two beautiful teenage girls. I began working at age twelve for the news journal. I quickly realized that delivering newspapers was not my cup of tea. I moved on to babysitting for a family over several summers and throughout the year. Having a youthful spirit, it felt less like work and more like play to me. We enjoyed bike rides, trips to the pool and outdoor games. After high school I worked for a family driving the kids to school, practices, lessons, etc. I stayed with the children while their parents attended out of town conferences. I went on to work as a medical assistant and receptionist for 14 years. I love the intricacies of the human body and found helping others very fulfilling. I always enjoyed planting flowers, mowing the lawn and just being outdoors so Read more in 1999 my husband and I started a landscaping and mowing company which thrived for over 20 years. I operated our commercial mowers, drove our plow trucks and towed our trailers. I definitely turned heads (not why you think lol) but because there are few women who lead in this field. Operating our business was wonderful however it took its toll on me physically. So I chose to hang my hat and go back to what I love-caring for others! I miss my girls’ younger years- changing diapers, packing lunches, school projects, driving to school, going for walks, etc. I believe that there is a family who needs someone like me who will keep your children safe and care for them as if they were my own.
