For the past two summers, I worked as a camp counselor at an overnight camp for eight weeks each summer. As senior counselor, I was responsible for the care and safety of around 20 kids in my bunk. While this summer I'm staying in my college town in Washington DC, I'm not quite ready to give up childcare as part of my summer plans. I'd love to be able to fill my spare time with a family and getting to spend time with kids. While as a camp counselor, my primary duty was to make sure that all campers were safe, I of course made sure that each of my campers had the best summer possible. It's super important to me to provide that balance for kids, and make sure that they are enriched, safe, and of course, have smiles on their faces.
