Meet Olivia

Hello! I am a college student at Georgetown University. Outside of the usual babysitting cousins and family members, I babysat some of my old teacher's children. In the past, I volunteered to watch and tutor children at a homeless shelter for about a year (K-8th grade). Additionally, I worked as a counselor for a STEM summer camp where my group had over 15 children (ages 4-6). In terms of my personal life, I'm from Maryland and know the DMV area very well. I currently attend Georgetown University. While I don't have a car on campus, I do have my license with a perfect driving record. I'm extremely interested in fostering children's interest in science. I interned at the Smithsonian's Natural History Museum where part of my job was to make science accessible to children. I love creating activities that get children to love science as much as I do (I'm Read more a biochemistry and anthropology double major so it makes sense!). That being said, I do love caring for infants as well even though my science interests can seem more applicable for older children. I love being around kids because they just have this amazing and boundless energy. It's so cool to see their wild imaginations or be able to make them happy with the simplest things.
