I am a recent graduate from the University of Oregon working in New York City on a part time basis. My academic and vocational background centers around international relations, specifically in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as political consulting and policy writing. My experience with children includes being a Camp Counselor, ultimately being promoted to Assistant Director of Camps, for 5 years in Portland, OR, working for Portland Parks and Recreation. During this experience, I mainly worked with children 6-8 years of age. Additionally, I have helped facilitate and organize numerous after school programs in the Portland, OR area, for children usually in grade school, and have worked for Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) teaching a summer class on Middle School Math. I am tri-lingual, my native language being English, and am proficient in Arabic (with Jordanian dialect) and Spanish. I am CPR certified, as well Read more as had a few trainings specifically addressing children with that are alter-abled or with special needs.
