Currently, I am looking for a part-time position to join a new family on their adventurous journey through childhood. The family I am working with now is in the process of finding a preschool and moving out of the area, so although I am very sad to leave them because I have watched their daughter for about 3 years and am very bonded with her, I am excited to see what the future with a new family brings. Previous to having my own twins, I obtained a MAT in Education and was an elementary school teacher certified in both regular and special education. I had spent the majority of my career in 5th grade working as an inclusion specialist with students primarily in the regular education setting. Positions I would be looking for could range from running errands/odd jobs to child care of which I have a great deal of Read more experience. My twins were preemies as well as the current little girl I watch so I am very familiar with Birth to 3 and related services such as PT, OT and SLP and implementing goals that each therapist may assign to a family. I've worked with children of all ages and abilities including both neurotypical children and children with various needs such as autism, ADD, anxiety, cognitive and physical delays, ODD to just mention a few. Other additional services I am very familiar with are ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) implementing discrete trials used with younger children as well as incidental objectives for older children, behavioral plans and token system which reinforce positive behavior. Depending on the day of the week my hours can be extended.
