Hello! My name is Irene and I am 28 years old. I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with experience working in pediatrics, especially for children with special needs. In addition, I have 5+ years working as a paraprofessional in a school with children 2-21 years. As well as 8+ years working as a nanny and/or babysitter for children of various ages. I am CPR certified and have training in de-escalation techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis. Many people describe me as a natural mother. I find it fulfilling to be a part of a child's journey in life as they discover the world. I thoroughly love working with children as every day is never the same! I am open to answering any questions! Summer hours Available: Overnight Mon-Thur: 12pm-evenings Fri-Sat: Open

Irene filled in for a cancellation with my son's regular sitter. Irene is great and I honestly wish she was the regular sitter. Irene is Mary Poppins. She came early, which was very helpful to establish rapport with my son before I had to disappear into my office. It is always extra challenging for sitters to put a child to bed when their parents are in the house, especially before they have time to get to know each other, but Irene nailed it! My son picked up his toys before bed (which I can't even get him to do). He said he had a great time with her, and was clearly comfortable with her right away. He fell asleep before I was done with my class, which has only happened once before, and that was with my mother after many weeks of practice. Irene is great, calm, and fun, but knows how to set up boundaries and make a kid feel safe. Ten-out-of-ten; would recommend.
