I am a quiet, caring, and emotionally supportive person. I offer children a creative and accepting space for learning and playtime. I also provide them with clear guidelines and rules to follow when appropriate. Working and being around children has always brought joy to my heart and soul. I have been involved in childcare for a little over 10 years now, and it always felt like a natural fit. Even when working in other fields I always found myself nannying part time, babysitting, as well as pet sitting on the side. Remembering the days at the daycare where I worked full time for four years brings a smile to my face. If I was having a bad day the kids always cheered me up right away and my problems were forgotten and I left feeling humbled, respected, and most importantly loved. I specifically remember teaching my class of 10 three Read more year olds how to draw certain shapes. They loved it and I did too. Drawing, reading, and dress up (make believe) were my favorites because I could go into their world's with them and help them slay the dragon or help them to draw their baby sister in their mothers arms for their family to put on the fridge.
