Hi there! My name is Gabriela but everyone calls me GiGi, I'm a professional nanny and have been working with children since I was 13. I've had countless babysitting jobs, I've worked in many daycares, preschools and schools. I was trained in Montessori and Jumpstart programs. I have a masters in social work, I have years of experience with infants and toddlers and with twins. I have done play therapy with many children, trauma focused and was CPR trained many times (not current certification). I am looking for a family that is flexible hour wise but that's not necessary. I love to hike, I believe children learn by exploring their world so I often take the children I've watched on nature walks with no destination just a journey through the woods finding different plants and animals and touching as much mud and dirt and leaves as possible! Your little will Read more know how to identify birds and flowers and plants, they will learn songs about sharing and filling buckets (Red Grammer is a favorite of mine), they will become more responsible about their world, I encourage children to pick up trash with me on walks (gloves and sanitizer and bags are ALWAYS a must on walks) even toddlers can help! They will learn how to cook with me, I bake and cook mostly from scratch so get ready for amazing meals, homemade chocolate chip pumpkin cookies, zucchini banana choco chip muffins and sourdough bread! I've worked with children with developmental delays, learning disabilities and on the Autism spectrum. I have not met a child who didn't warm up to me after a meet! I love reading books, dancing our sadness and anger out, bedtime routines, building forts and most of all snuggles! If I sound like an awesome fit for your lifestyle and family... I probably am.
