As a cheerleader and student at Colorado Mesa University, I have a lot on my plate, but I always make time for the things that matter to me. One of those things is spending time with children. For me, being around kids is a way to connect with my roots and think about my family members who are younger than me. I have always enjoyed taking care of children, and I think that my experience as a cheerleader has helped me to develop the skills that are necessary to work with kids. In fact, I have had the opportunity to work with children at cheer kids camps, and it has been an incredibly rewarding experience. There is something about the energy and enthusiasm of kids that is infectious, and I love being able to help them learn new skills and build their confidence.
