Hello! I'm Maddie, 28 yrs old and a part-time babysitter that has just moved to the area with my fiancé. I have substitute taught preschool, kindergarten and 1st-7th grade before beginning graduate school. I've babysat and part-timed nannied for families with multiple children all younger than 9 yrs old including infants and children with special needs (i.e. ASD) in western New York. I have 4 years of experience as a certified head sailing instructor for children, which included monitoring children from the ages of 5-16 in the water, teaching children how to sail, and overseeing childcare for over 15 children at a time including allergies, medical needs, and special needs (i.e. ASD, ADHD). During graduate school I gained experience nannying a 14 yr old with significant behavioral needs, which is something I found to be very rewarding and happy to continue doing in the future. I have a master's degree Read more and am a licensed school psychologist. I am currently finishing my doctoral degree in the same area as a full-time student. Throughout my studies I've specialized in working with young children with emotional and behavioral concerns and absolutely love it! When babysitting I like to engage kids with enriching activities specific to each child's interest such as arts and crafts, music, outdoor activities, and/or other activities. I am looking for part time jobs but am flexible on the time of day/days of the week. I'm up to date on all vaccines and love animals. I look forward to meeting you and your family!
