I am a young 52 year old woman who has been married 30 years and has a 26 year old daughter. I have always been passionate about children and love spending time, cuddling, teaching, and sharing experiences with them. When my daughter was born, I decided I wanted to be a full time mother. In order to make ends meet, (I had just graduated college with a doctoral degree), I became a full time nanny and brought her with me. The experience was such a blessing in my entire families life. I am still close to the family I was the nanny for all these years later. Consider me t Nanny Poppins! I have tons of crafts and frequently bring a project with me to make with the kiddos. I am a very creative person and love to teach children new things, especially hands on. I have always loved bringing Read more kids into the kitchen and love teaching them to cook age appropriate recipes. My two year old and I recently made a lasagna for the family dinner and she did 80% of the assembly on her own! Over the summer, I planted squash and tomato plants with each one and taught them how to grow veggies! They loved getting to eat their own veggies after watering them for weeks. I love to embrace the culture of the family I work with. I am a Christian, however, when I was a nanny for a Jewish family, I took it upon myself to educate myself on the holidays and traditions so I could share those times and form appropriate activities. I currently work part time as a nanny for two families, one has a 4 year old boy who I have nannied since he was 7 months old and the other is a two year old girl who I have nannied for the past year. I also work with several local families as a back-up, date night, or sick sitter. I am CPR certified and work with children with severe food allergies. If you are looking for a responsible, reliable, punctual, friendly, fun, sitter who will likely become a part of your family, look no further! I can’t wait to meet your family!
