My name is Felicia I have been a caregiver throughout most my life from kids to geriatrics. I first became a nanny at the age of 18 for a single mom with a 1yr old boy with a busy career. I nannied him throughout his elementary years on a Monday - Friday basis with some weekend and overnights during business trips. As a Nanny I cooked meals, cleaned, and helped with early childhood learning as well as all subjects throughout elementary school. I assisted with birthday parties and many other household chores. As he grew older and no longer needed a nanny I then went to volunteer with AmeriCorps for two years; one in New Orleans working with high school students and the second with the Colorado I Have A Dream Foundation, working with elementary and middle school kids both in and out of school. I most recently spent the Read more last 6 years working in the health care field with the elderly population. Initially starting in activities and eventually moving on to Memory Care Director. As much as I have loved the time I have had being able to be a part of people's lives throughout their hardest transitions in life, it is now time for me to go back to my passion of working with kids. I want to be a part of the beginning stages of life, being able to teach, help children learn and grow. I have always been a very hard worker with a positive outlook on life. With my vast experience working with kids and elderly with Dementia and Alzheimer's, it has taught me what patience means and how to manage stress and frustration properly.
