I have always had a passion for working with children. I started babysitting when I was 14 years old with neighbors and close relatives. Through my years of experiences in babysitting I found my true passion which was teaching. Taking care of children made me realize that early childhood education is really important. I started to gain more experience working with children once I applied for the YMCA in 2018. I have grown and learned so much through my time at the YMCA. I am currently in the process of receiving my bachelors degree in integrated studies emphasis in education and teaching credentials from PLNU. I am CPR/First Aid certified as of August 2020.

We had Esmy watch our boys 2, 12 yrs old while we went out on a date night. She was great with the kids and showed her diversity with the age groups. She was prompt, on time and kind to both boys. Our two year old was a micro preemie and we’ve only been on one other date night in 2.5 years because I was nervous about leaving him with anyone. However Esmy fit right in and was comfortable with both kids. Our 2yr old is usually shy and timid but he warmed up to her quick and was sharing and showing off his toys with her. We will most definitely ask Esmy to babysit again! Highly recommended!
