I am a special education professional and disability advocate looking for part time work as I finish my degrees. I have over 10 years experience in different roles and settings (schools, clinics, homes). I have worked as an academic program aide, summer school classroom teacher, Registered Behavior Technician, crisis team member, client advocate, and caretaker. I have been Crisis Prevention Intervention and CPR trained, have held a RBT credential, and have been trained in SIPPS, common core, and most public school teaching methods. I have a background in mindful and trauma aware teaching and caretaking. I can handle severe behaviors while maintaining communication and promoting self advocacy. Hablo español. I can teach and understand Braille and am comfortable with most AAC devices. I’m open to different part time roles and hope to speak with you!
