Babysitting family member’s children for five years has inspired and motivated me to further my career path of being a childcare provider. I have loved every second of what I’ve learned through my experiences being a sitter whether it be through college classes, taking care of babies, or obtaining certificates. All of my effort and investments have contributed to becoming the best childcare provider possible. Over the past five years, I’ve obtained my CPR certificate, a highschool diploma, an ECE (early childhood education certificate), and am currently working towards my AA in childhood development to become a preschool teacher. I received CPR training through the Red Cross my junior year of highschool, an ECE certificate through California College of Early Childhood Education in San Mateo California. I graduated from Hayward Highschool in 2017 while babysitting after school 25 hours a week and being in the dance team. I decided to Read more pursue a minor in Childhood Development, and majoring in Psychology. Overall, I have been a babysitter for 6 families since 2016. Most of my skill and expertise circulates around caring for toddlers and young children, for 5 years. (ages 2-8) I have 2 years of experience caring for 3 infants who are related to me, and began taking care of them when they were 6-12 months old. My main goals while babysitting is instilling a positive, caring, bond with parents and and children. Also, making sure the children I am caring for are learning and growing through educational activities. Creating entertaining and stimulating home learning tasks is extremely important to me, children will show positive educational growth in the classroom. Cooking and preparing appetizing meals for children under the parent’s diet plans and instructions. Although I don’t have a car, I have a driver’s license and can utilize a car provided by the parents if accessible. Creating a trustworthy, safe, reliable, and positive relationship with my families is the most important goal of mine, while making sure the children are genuinely content and comfortable every time I babysit! Can’t wait to connect and work with all of the amazing families on Sitter City!
