Besides being a mother, my son is a civil engineer for the city of Los Angeles, I have worked with babies and children since before I was 15 years old. Given that I don’t have any grandchildren yet, the thought of taking care of little ones is heartwarming. I have many people who will attest to my compassion and integrity. At age 15, I was taught and groomed by a mother and an excellent instructor to begin teaching Mommy & Me classes to parents with babies six months old to a year. For three years, I continued to teach classes to children of all ages until I went to U.C. Santa Barbara. Before I was 15, I began working with babies and children as a babysitter, including a special needs child. (His parents ended up moving to another part of the South Bay. They would travel 45 minutes, round trip, Read more to pick me up and bring me home.) In 1987, before the company (Keys to Learning) moved to northern California, I worked with and assisted preschool children in discovering the marvels of the computer world. At 55, I’m very physically fit. Yet after over two decades as a therapist, it’s becoming hard on my body and because of Covid, my business has ended. Going back to where I began, working with babies and/or children, would be truly a special opportunity. Thank you for your consideration for the wonderful opportunity to take care of little ones. Being a mother, an instructor and a therapist for years, I know it is imperative to have a person who is loving, patient, compassionate and who truly cares.
