My experience in childcare begin when I was about the age of 12. I remember being offered a job babysitting for a family that attended our family church. I was never more excited. They had 4 children ages 1 through 6 and I had such an awesome time. I also worked in my church's Sunday school nursery during this time and for 4 years more. I have a Master's degree in Psychology MFT. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and I am focusing my studies on child development, foster care, autism spectrum, basically everything that involves children. Children are special to me, they are fresh and ready to learn new things, soak up mounds of knowledge and share/live their dreams. I love being a part of helping even their smallest dreams come true (drawing a picture of a dog, saying their ABC's). I worked as a nanny for Read more 4 1/2 years and this I must say was a major part of my child care experience. I worked with a family who had a wonderful boy living with Autism. My job description included tutoring (ABA), bathing, communication skills training, and lots of play. This was one of my most rewarding jobs. I am also a homeschooling mother of 5. I have home-schooled now for over 17 years and I have had an amazing experience watching my children learn, grow and follow their dreams. My children are 4 months, 20 months, 14, 16, and 17. I would love to share my experience and joys of learning a play with your child/children.
