I am currently studying to earn a bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral science. I have a few years of work experience in different aspects of childcare. I have a bit over 2 years experience with children in a school setting. I worked with children ages 7-12 in an after school program where i assisted with school assigned work, recreational activities, and snack time. I have about 3 years experience with children ages 3-15 in a summer camp setting where I taught county assigned curriculum, created weekly learning plans and field trips based on curriculum theme. I have personal experience with children ranging between a few weeks old to about 15 where I would ensure they had homework done, chores done and got them ready for bed. I have personal experience with a (currently 16 yo) autistic child whom I have looked after and cared for since she was about Read more a year old. I have personal experience with elder care from caring after my great grandmother (currently 98 yo) for a 2 year period while she lived with me. (94-96yo at the time) This entailed a range of things like helping with mobility, changing etc to simply spending time with her doing things she enjoys such as playing cards or going on walks.
