First and foremost, I would like to include I am currently employed at Oliver’s in Santa Rosa, from 6 AM- 1 PM, Monday/Thursday/Friday. My previous job I worked alongside this current job was as an after school daycare provider at a known elementary school in Rincon Valley, Santa Rosa. I’d watch a large group of children from 2-6 PM five days a week, along the typical yearly school schedule. Ages vary from T-K & Kindergarten to Sixth grade, with my consistent group towards the end being 3rd to 6th graders. We provide snack time, indoor/outdoor play, as well as school funded activities. I have experience with children on the spectrum, non verbal children, as well as children with less than wonderful behavioral habits, which I never mind or find too much of a hassle. I am a very caring and friendly person towards those of all walks of life. Growing Read more up, I had always wanted to be a teacher and work with children. I have a big heart, love to laugh, follow directions, value education and kindness, am fit to run around and play, and I have about every art supply known to man. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, and although I am vegetarian, I cook meals of varying diets for my family. My younger brother is a growing boy and loves to start his day with thick bacon and end the evening with a juicy steak, so I will not pass judgement of any sort. I had been working at ACES in Santa Rosa for a few months before Covid hit, but I voluntarily quit once the pandemic surfaced. At ACES we focused on supporting children and young adults on the spectrum. We worked on maladaptive behaviors, social skills, child safety, furthering education, and most importantly: we had fun. As many young women have, I too have taken up various Nanny jobs in my neighborhoods and among family friends. I have also spent about five years of my life caring for my double amputee grandmother (after her husband died) and my little brother as my mother worked. This included meal prep, bathing my grandmother, pet care, cleaning, driving to school/practice/appointments once I could drive, and keeping them entertained/happy. I drive a Mercedes C-300 kept reasonably clean and have a clear driving record. Occasionally, I pick up for UberEats, so I am no stranger to driving sessions, maneuvering the city roads without GPS, or running food errands. I also have (YOUNG) child friendly playlists at ready and would love to take any recommendations.
