Hello, my name is Alexis Garcia! I have always loved working with children, and have been since I was in high school. Whether it was working at an at home daycare, or volunteering in classrooms, I always looked forward to helping children see life in a positive way. While obtaining by B.A. in Liberal Arts and concentration in Child Development to become an elementary school teacher, I learned many skills that I feel are vital when teaching and dealing with children. I am currently employed with Santa Maria Bonita School District as a substitute teacher for grades TK-6. Working for the school district for over 3 years has given me great experience working with all types of children. I will not only be sure that your children are safe and having fun, I can use my expertise with the current California standards curriculum and provide help with schoolwork.
