I have worked for two toddler/children's theatre companies while in high school and college. I worked with children ages 1-14 playing dress up, singing songs, teaching choreography, and helping them learn lines for the show, as well as keeping them entertained between rehearsal times. I have also babysat for many local families with children ages 3 months-14 years old. I was a dance teacher for ages 4-16 for two years teaching hip hop, and I have babysat randomly on and off for families in the area since then. Before moving to New York, I worked as a birthday party performer for a company called Happily Ever Laughter, which included entertaining large groups of children ages 1-12 for a few hours at a time with balloon twisting, face painting, magic shows, sing alongs, etc. Through this I learned a lot about patience and how to keep a child engaged in an Read more activity. I'm currently studying to become an elementary school teacher. I have taken Early Childhood Development, as well as worked in K-5 classes.
