Hi! My name is Makayla and I am currently a freshman at Loyola. I am a Human Services major with a focus on Child, Adolescent and Family Services. My prior child care experience includes babysitting children ages 1-7 as well as being a day camp counselor for South Oakland YMCA in Royal Oak, Mi. As a camp counselor I would take care of a group of 8-10 children with ages ranging from 3-8 on a daily basis. I would be in charge of planning and teaching them various activities, as well as teaching them the basics of STEM. I believe that children should be exposed to education at a young age and believe that reading daily is essential in their learning process! I am both CPR and First Aid certified and would be able to provide verification!
