I am a fun loving nanny for a 7 year old boy for a year, in addition to being a part-time as needed babysitter for a young infant until he was about 2. I would have continued both of those responsibilities if it wasn't for the fact that, I recently moved to Davis so that I can continue my Early Childhood education degree and live with my significant other. As well, I have been babysitting for as long as I can remember, doing odd jobs for neighbors here and there. I do a little of everything from laundry to shopping for the family as needed. My Early childhood education degree is expected to be completed in the spring of 2016, which I will receive a certificate for becoming a preschool teacher. I so far have complete 12 units with 6 more units this fall. After this semester I will have Read more enough credits to be an associate preschool teacher as well. As for why I became a caregiver, it was always something I was really good at and enjoyed doing. It was always tough to leave when the children wanted me the stay, but I had to go. It's little moments like those that make the job so fulfilling to me. I always wanted to have children of my own and open a daycare, but being as young as I am I am not ready for my own children so being a nanny and finishing my education so that I can open that daycare or teach preschool is what I am doing so that when I am ready I will be extra ready. As for being good at it. I know those around me have always noticed how well I would do with young children. I guess I am so good at it because I connect with the children. I want to understand them on who they are, what personality they have. They are special and they deserve to know that. I treat every single child as if they were my own .
