. I’m currently a registered behavioral therapist for the preschool in Carlsbad school district and I go in home for older kiddos. If you’re no familiar with ABA (my job) I basically look like I go in and play with kids all day but it’s so much more. In naturalistic teaching with your kids or just play as it seems, I’m actually teaching so much more things like imaginative play, social skills, fine motor and gross motor skills as well as working on gripping pencils and scissors correctly! I work on communication and behaviors and tantrums and then I also go in and show parents different ways to communicate with their kids so it cuts out the back and forth arguments and forms great communication between child and adults. Either way I keep your kiddos busy all day without screen time (however I am big about them earning screen time. Read more I understand it’s summer and kids love electronics so I do implement brain breaks throughout the day or towards the end where they get 15-20 mins of electronics if you’re okay with it. and the whole time they are learning great skills through play and crafts and trust me I’ve never had a kiddo not beg me to come back! I’m also in school for speech pathology as my goal is just teaching communication but I’m fluent in all things behaviors, OT, PT and speech. I have worked with kids newborn up to 18 and on or off the spectrum, verbal and non verbal, aggressive and non aggressive. I’ve worked with kids in English, Spanish, AAC device and some sign. I currently hold a clean background check and have to maintain that for my license to work with kids and I’m CPR/FIRST aid certified. I promise your life will feel so easy with me around and kids always end up wanting more time with me as working with kids is a passion of mine. I can provide however many references you would want from family’s I’ve babysit for or did therapy with and I’m sure they won’t disappoint as I’m confident in my skill set and fun attitude.
