Meet Sina

  • Comfortable with pets

Hello parents, my name is Sina and I'm 32 years old. I'm from Germany originally, now living in San Jose with my husband since early this year. My childcare experiences started back in 2012 when I prepared to become an au pair in the USA. In order to become an au pair for an american family, I had to gather around 200h of childcare, which I did for toddlers up to teenagers. In 2013 I started working for an American family as an au pair and stayed with the same family for 2 years. I was responsible for a 10-12 year old girl, as well as light household duties, laundry and everything regarding the child's daily schedule from morning to evening. Every once in a while, I would also babysit other children in my free time. After returning to Germany, my experiences with children took a more personal turn when Read more my niece and nephew came along. I was very much a part of their upbringing from the beginning and was able to get even deeper insight on infant and toddler care. As for my career I am a certified nutritionist and beautician. I have been working both positions for the past 6 years. In my profession as a beautician in a wellness hotel, I frequently had children for "kid-friendly" wellness treatments while their parents enjoyed their stay. My profession as a nutritionist gives me the ability to provide children with appropriate food/meals. I do enjoy cooking and baking with children, letting them take over age appropriate parts of it. I don't mind getting my hands dirty with arts and craft projects and do consider myself a creative brain who can come up with different ideas to keep kid's entertained. I love the outdoors and certainly enjoy going on "adventures" with kids there as well. I love to take care of children all ages and making sure to approach every child within their comfort zone. I'm not afraid of getting goofy to put a smile on a kid's face, while still maintaining my highest priority of keeping the little ones safe. I'm able to spot a dangerous situation before it can happen. Overall I describe myself as an easy going, responsible and nurturing person. Lastly I grew up with a variety of different pets and still have my own. So if you have pets in your home, I will be absolutely comfortable with that. If all of this sounds good to you, I'd be happy to connect.
