Hello my name is Haley. I live in the shorebird neighborhood of Natomas. I am currently looking for one family to provide care for from my home as I go through the process of becoming a licensed in-home daycare provider. My hours are flexible and I am open to accommodating shift workers, as I know that finding care for changing/late hours can be challenging. I plan to run my daycare as a preschool. I will provide age appropriate, daily and weekly lesson plans, as well as a monthly calendar detailing all of the themes and events planned throughout the month. I am CPR and first aid certified, I have over 15 units of early childhood education, and over 10 years of hands-on experience with children. I have worked over six years in a preschool setting with children ranging from infants to school aged, and I have also worked as a Read more full-time nanny for the last six years for children of all ages. Play based learning is at the basis of everything I do. As Mr. Rogers said, “Play is really the work of childhood.” I do have two dogs, however they stay in their own section in the “off limits” master bedroom and have no interaction with children I watch in the home. I have no problem providing healthy meals and snacks for kids while they’re in my care, as long as any allergy information is provided before hand. I truly enjoy and have a passion for working with children of all ages. Having the privilege to be a positive role model and influence in a child’s life is something I find so much joy in, and a responsibility I take very seriously.
