Meet Madison

  • Comfortable with pets

I have been babysitting for a wide variety of kids for 10 years. These include infants to middle schoolers, of different ability levels as well. I have significant experience with special needs children. I love spending time with children and creating a safe space where they can have fun and express themselves, and where parents can rest easy knowing their child is safe and comfortable. As the eldest of four children myself, with a 15 year age gap between myself and siblings no less, and as someone who grew up with a big extended family, I'm well adapted to caring for up to 6 children at a time. Additionally, I was the most trusted babysitter in the neighborhood I grew up in, helping several of my neighbors for years at a time. I am now starting work as an assistant/substitute teacher for both special ed children and gen ed children. Read more I love to do art projects and play games with children especially, and I also love reading and watching their shows with them as well. Children are prone to feeling unsure about new people, so I love to put their minds at ease by engaging with them as equals and letting them communicate to me what would make them happy. Communication and patience is key in childcare, since every child has different behavior patterns and needs. At the end of the day, I excel at adapting to each one and love to do so. There is no greater satisfaction than sending a child off to bed and/or back to their grown-ups knowing they were well cared for, protected, and enjoyed their time. I look forward to meeting you and your little ones and helping out in any way that I can!
