My name is Maggie and I am a 26 year old incoming graduate student (beginning in the fall) studying Urban Education and Social Justice at the USF Graduate School of Education. Before school starts I've been dedicating myself full time to preparing for my CSET exams (California teaching credential exams). After I graduate I will be teaching middle school or high school social studies Prior to deciding to go back to school I had been working as a teaching assistant at private elementary schools (most recently a Montessori school) and before that in preschools. I truly love all the ages from newborn-age 18. There is something special to love about all ages and it was difficult for me to make a decision about which age to pick for my graduate degree (a big contributing factor was me not being the best math teacher, haha). When I first started working at Read more the preschool and needed to supplement my income I babysat often! When I started teaching older students and had more responsibilities I put my babysitting on hold but now that I am going back to school I am going to start babysitting again! In general I charge $25 an hour but I am willing to negotiate based on the situation. At this time I don't feel like I can commit to a standing part time position but would like to make myself available as needed and have a wide range of availability: evenings, day time, weekends, etc. I have experience with all ages and working with children that have special needs. I am also CPR/AED certified. I am also fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and COVID conscious. I'm also willing to help with housework, pet care, and I am a pretty good tutor if I do say so myself! I would prefer to stay within the area (Cole-Valley, Upper Haight, NOPA, Inner Sunset, etc.) Please send me a message if you are looking for a new babysitting contact/person to have on call!
